When will hardware kits be available for purchase?
We are currently in the final stages of testing and certification. Sign up for our newsletter on the home page to be notified when kits are available. Expected Q2 2026.
Can I build my own kit using the open-source designs?
Absolutely! All hardware designs in the clawland-kits repository are open-source under CERN-OHL-S 2.0. You can source components yourself using the BOM lists and wiring diagrams.
Do I need programming skills to use PicoClaw?
No. Pre-built kits come with everything pre-configured. Just wire the sensors, connect to network, install a Skill, and tell it "Start monitoring" via your preferred chat app. See our Quick Start Guide.
What LLM providers are supported?
PicoClaw supports any OpenAI-compatible API: OpenAI, Anthropic (via adapter), Groq, Together AI, local models via Ollama, and more. The free tier lets you bring your own API key.
Can PicoClaw work without internet?
Yes. PicoClaw has full offline autonomy. Edge nodes continue local sensor reading, rule-based decisions, and alert execution even without internet. LLM-based intelligence requires connectivity, but critical safety actions work offline.
How do I earn revenue as a contributor?
Check our Revenue Sharing Plan and Contributing Guide. Submit PRs, design hardware kits, create Skills, or write documentation. All contributions earn points that translate to quarterly payouts.
